“We are a four star lodge in Livingstone, Zambia.
We had a fortunate, and very successful expansion programme and found ourselves, mid-season, in urgent (immediate, in fact), need of a skilled chef able to work independently and to a high standard. Naturally most good local chefs were already fully employed then, so I had the excellent idea of using Google to search for a suitable employment agency in South Africa. I found Career Pathfinders online, and immediately called Jerry and explained my dilemma to him, adding a comprehensive description of the kind of chef I needed to provide the solution. Jerry sent me, within 48 hours, a CV for a chef who appeared precisely to meet our requirements.
When I questioned Jerry about other possible applicants, he explained that he had absorbed all the details I provided, and he firmly believed that this candidate was a perfect match for our requirements – so what point is there in confusing the issue? Jerry did have other candidates, but this particular one was available immediately (fantastic, I thought), and came with Jerry’s personal measure of recommendation. And so, based on the principle that if you hire an expert, you should believe them … I then interviewed this chef by telephone, and then I immediately hired the him on the spot.
The chef was, (and still is) absolutely perfect. He has rejuvenated our menu, as well as our local kitchen staff, AND we have happy guests. What more could I ask? I am now in the process of recruiting other managers through Jerry – the proof as they say……… !!!!”
