The successful applicant will assume full responsibility for the day to day management of the housekeeping department.

Responsible for maintaining set department budget. Responsible for all operational equipment & stock control.

Responsible for personnel & leave management.

Responsible for maintaining Company set health & safety standards.

Responsible for hosting lodge guests for dinner duty, as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Hospitality Management qualification

2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Possession of valid driver’s licence advantageous

Hospitality Diploma / Degree

At least 3- 5 years in Housekeeping management in Lodges, resorts and hotels.

Opera hospitality system experience `

Management of Housekeeping Department staff to ensure standard of cleanliness in all guest rooms and public areas are achieved and maintained.

Main Duties:

    • Maintains all agreed standards
    • Maintains these set standards whilst remaining within agreed budgets on guest and cleaning supplies, salaries and any miscellaneous costs which apply to the department
    • Liaises with all relevant department heads and managers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department
    • Monitors closely the condition and maintenance of all accommodation and public areas
    • Ensures the smooth running and staff welfare within the department
    • Responsible for ordering/purchasing of all related cleaning chemicals and materials
    • Responsible for the staff, stock levels, stock taking and control of Linen Room and uniform departments
    • Enforces when control procedures are carried through in F&B departments
    • Maintains personal contact with guests in dealing with complaints etc.
    • Any other related tasks.

Salary  15 000 including accommodation & company benefits
