Leading Conference & Banqueting Resort Hotel Lanseria area – Gauteng

4 years’ experience in a 3 or 4 star hotel in the same position.

To manage the Housekeeping Department by ensuring cleanliness, cost control,

the control of operational equipment and maintain desired standards.

Have good communication skills, preferably strong in 2 languages

Be familiar with the disciplinary procedures and processes.

Manage the Housekeeping Department efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Ensure the prescribed company standards are maintained in all areas of responsibility.

Ensure that costs are controlled in all areas of responsibility.

Ensure that total guest satisfaction is maintained in areas under Housekeeping control.

Identify and implement staff training schemes aimed at ensuring that the company’s operating standards are achieved.

Control and coordinate the work of all staff under the direction of the Housekeeper.

Manage and Quality assure the standards and service of the external cleaning contractor

Ensure that all operational equipment and work utensils are maintained in good working order.

Ensure that bedrooms are serviced timeously in order to maximize room occupancy.

Salary R 16 000 including company benefits

World Class 5* Game Lodge Mpumalanga

3 – 4 years relevant experience in world class 5 * properties required

Game Lodge experience is essential.

Knowledge of world-class housekeeping standards and procedures

Strong administration ability – particularly in terms of procurement and stock control

Computer skills – E-mail, MS Word and Excel in particular

The ability to manage, motivate and train a large staff complement

Assertiveness and strong communication skills.

Attention to detail and consistent follow up
