We are looking for a Somatologist in a hotel spa who will be responsible for delivering high-quality skincare and body treatments while also promoting retail products to enhance guest experiences.
Skills:
This role involves conducting skin assessments, performing facials and massages, and recommending appropriate treatments.
Strong retail skills are essential, as the Somatologist will educate guests on product benefits and drive sales of skincare and wellness items.
Excellent communication and customer service skills are vital for building relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spa Treatments: Perform facials, body wraps, exfoliations, manicures, pedicures, and a range of massages (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, and Indian Head.
- Guest Consultations: Conduct pre-treatment consultations to tailor wellness programs and product recommendations to individual guest needs.
- Hygiene & Presentation: Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and spa areas to strict 5-star hygiene, safety, and aesthetic standards.
- Administration & Stock: Manage treatment bookings, client records, stock levels, product sales, and monthly stocktakes.
- Lodge Support: Assist with general hospitality duties when required, such as guest hosting, front desk/reception coverage, curio shop sales, or room checks.
Qualifications:
A relevant certification in skincare or massage therapy and prior spa experience are of 3 years required
