Minimum 5 years previous Housekeeping Management experience at a large Game Lodge
Hospitality Management Diploma
Overall Management of the entire Housekeeping Department of the Game Lodge
Knowledge of full range of chemicals and various cleaning equipment
Candidate must be able to walk extensively throughout the day as the position is not office based
Administer all housekeeping and all laundry facilities and ensure secure environment for all staff.
Design all housekeeping policies and procedures according to required standards and schedule all rotational duties for staff.
Maintain safety and hygiene and perform all appraisals for staff regularly and coordinate with front office staff.
Manage and analyse all incoming supplies and ensure compliance to all specifications and prepare all reports to be presented to
Day to day operational management of the lodge (Lodge & Share Block Rooms and Public Areas)
Staff management including IR, manpower development and training
Maintain discipline by using the Company’s disciplinary code and procedures, as well as attending to grievances
Manage the assignment of work schedules and drawing up rosters
Responsible for the on-going training and development of all staff
Managing and review performance of staff
5 years previous Housekeeping experience in a management or
supervisory role at large hotel/lodge
Previous staff management (skilled and unskilled level)
Proficient on Outlook, MS Word and Excel
Good numeric and administrative skills
Ability to lead, plan, organise and delegate
Ability to liaise at all levels
Self-starter, go getter and suitable initiative
Good people management skills
Able to manage a pool of staff working shifts.
Administer efficient working of the housekeeping department, supervise all work and ensure compliance to all
operational standards and organization regulations.
Monthly stock count of all amenities to be done and ordering to be
co-ordinated with Resident/Assistant Resident Manager.
Build and maintain professional client partnerships
Liaise and negotiate at all levels
Control of direct expenses and budget management
Oversee the upkeep of equipment on site and stock management
Maintain a high standard of performance and image of the Company
Salary R 14 000 – R 15 000 including accommodation and Company benefits.
5% Provident – forms part of CTC package (compulsory membership)
Medical aid 50% – single Member
Saver or below option on Discovery (voluntary membership)

Live-in Position & Meals provided on duty – single accommodation only
High End luxurious residential Estate – Mediterranean beach – Tripoli – Libya
South African Citizen or permanent Resident.
Management of all housekeeping of the residential units that might need to be prepared for a long-term lease, housekeeping of units that are rented out on short-term lets and also any housekeeping services during the course of the lease contract based upon the clients’ requests.
Hospitality degree preferred (Minimum BS level or equivalent). Vocational qualifications in a related subject may be considered.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in resort management or property management highly regarded.
Well experienced in resort operations.
Strong organizer with an eye for detail as befits a high-quality service. Able to schedule workforce to the ongoing requirements.
Excellent Management skills ; to ensure that the cleaning subcontractor turnover is kept to the minimum possible and advocate for a strong team ethic.
In charge of all the site cleaning, waste management and housekeeping services in the commercial and common areas in the complex
Inventory management of the residential units & substituting for the Residential Services Manager when the responsible person in this office is on leave.
All in all, the Housekeeping Manager is a key element of the service provision in the compound.
Performance bonus of 10% of annual salary, subject to company’s performance;
