The Exec Housekeeper is responsible for superior cleaning and laundry services within the lodge and produce a consistent,
high quality product, providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with the company’s policies
and procedures, to maximize guest satisfaction.

a Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management.
Knowledge and understanding of Housekeeping, Laundry and Guest Area Service Procedures.
Sound Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Administration and Financial Competence).
Knowledge and experience of overall hospitality operations mainly in Housekeeping and Food and Beverages (HK & FB).
Valid code 08 driver’s license.
Strong leadership and management skills with excellent Communication skills and very well spoken.
Confident team Player with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control (People skills-tolerance, patience, and care).

Ensure cleanliness in the Guest Areas/Guest Room Areas, staff quarters are cleaned and prepared, maintain cleanliness of all areas
Ensure room fresheners are performed and turn down services are done according to company standards.
Ensure all guest information is available and collected and communicate prior to arrival.
Ensure equipment (Washing machine, tumble dryers, iron) is operated effectively according to instructions and manuals and
maintenance schedules.
Responsible for safekeeping of housekeeping equipment.
Maintain discipline and implement Performance standards within the Housekeeping department. (HR)
Review monthly forecasts and schedule resources accordingly.
Manage and control inventory stock and therefore compile Lodge monthly report for the Housekeeping Department
Ensure adherence and understanding to Fire, Hygiene and Health and Safety (OHS)

Housekeeping Duty Manager ( On Hold )

Take full responsibility for the management of the Housekeeping Department.

Requirements :

  • Hospitality and Service training experience.
  • 2 -3 years Duty Management experience in a 5 star Game Lodge environment
  • 5* game Lodge Housekeeping management
  • Room Division or Front of House Experience.
  • Strong People skills;
  • Strong guest focus to ensure guest expectations are exceeded;
  • Excellent Guest Relations
  • Flexibility – adapt successfully to changing situations and environments;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Proactive person with well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world-class guest experience;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
  • High energy levels & drive to get things done;
  • Planning & organizing;
  • An appreciation of other cultures;
  • Introduce new ideas that will enhance the department and its activities;

Salary R 12 000 – R 13 000 including accommodation and Company benefits.
