In full control of the Finance Department of the Hotel.

Our client is seeking a SA Citizen or Permanent Resident

Effective communication skills to liaise with other departments

Efficient in producing and analyzing financial reports

Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Experience with creating financial statements

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

Formal Accounting tertiary qualification preferable

Knowledge of hospitality and the importance of being customer-focused

Team leadership, training and delegation skills

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

Ensuring that accurate accounting records are kept of the income and expenditure of the business

Taxation & Budget experience is essential.

Salary R 30 000.

Financial Manager.

Leisure & Conference Hotel / Resort – Free State / Lesotho Border

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Hotel Financial Manager with overall combined accounting and finance experience

To be responsible for the hotel’s accounting and financial management requirements.

Confident in forecasting and preparing budgets

Effective communication skills to liaise with other departments

Efficient in producing and analyzing financial reports

Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Experience with creating financial statements

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

Producing and analyzing all financial information, such as monthly profit and loss accounts

Support month-end and year-end close processes

To compile cash flow forecasts for the business.

To ensure that physical inventories of all supplies are being taken on a monthly basis and of all operating equipment on a quarterly basis.

Financial Administrator.

4 years Financial experience in 5* Island Lodges in Southern / Eastern Africa

B Com or relevant qualification & Understanding Portuguese an advantage.

The financial administrator will be responsible for reporting, variance analysis,

setting and agreeing budgets, training of staff and resolving problem areas.

Accurate recording and management of financial information for the Lodge.

Monitoring the controls within the lodge and conducting internal audits

Maintaining and improving high financial standards.

Meeting finance deadlines.

Training of staff from various backgrounds and skill levels if required.

Collation and resolution of general ledger queries.

Reconciling various accounts including clearing and Bank Accounts.

Computer literate –Excel is essential

QuickBooks experience preferable

VIP experience preferable

Understanding Portuguese an advantage
