Financial Manager

A Safari and Air Charter company based in Maun – Botswana is looking for seasoned Financial Manager.

The incumbent will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for the full finance function,

including Annual Financial Statements and taxation.

The successful candidate will have at least eight years relevant senior finance experience

and the relevant tertiary qualification.

BComm ,ACCA or equivalent.

Requirements:

Advanced knowledge in Pastel

Payroll systems

Excel

Experience in Tourism/Hospitality is essential.

Salary between BWP30 000- BWP 35 000 per month. ( R 39 300 – R 45 000  )

Gratuity at the end of the contract which is 25% of the gross annual salary which 1/3 is not taxable

Revenue Manager.

Leading Luxury Safari Operators &  5* Game Lodge Chain – Sandton – Gauteng

The Commercial team is looking for a Revenue Manager to work with closely with the Reservations,

Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to grow revenue and improve the yield of the business.

This individual should have a unique combination of business acumen, technical data-analysis skills,

ability to focus on detail and process, and creative problem-solving ability.

This position is not a traditional hotel-type revenue management role.

Commercially- or Tourism-focused degree or diploma preferred

Experience working in a tour operator and/or lodge/hotel business, ideally in a yield/revenue management position

A good knowledge of Tourplan

Must be proficient with MS Office Packages and specifically be able to demonstrate superior MS Excel abilities,

including the creative use of Excel to solve business problems.

Experience using SQL an advantage

Revenue forecasting for both lodge and touring businesses.

Assist with design and costing of tactical offers, including assisting the sales team

with targeted market- and agent-specific offers.

Support the business with ad-hoc information / reporting requests

Provide support in analysis required for setting annual lodge rates

Provide support in analysis required for setting annual group revenue budgets

Yield Management

Assist with the design and development of a standard suite of Yield reports,

and be responsible for implementation and periodic reporting

Responsible for monitoring, driving and reporting on adherence to various yield

and reporting-related reservations processes.

Assist with requests for rate and/or policy exceptions within an agreed span of control

Assist with assessing the impact of, and materialization of, group and series business

Understanding of business principles, including principles of revenue and yield management and maximisation.

Strong ability to analyse data and trends, draw conclusions, identify problem areas, and suggest solutions

Admin Manager.

Exquisite 5* Game Lodge KNP area – Mpumalanga.

The Admin Manager undertakes financial administration tasks which include

debtors account management, payment allocations, invoicing and cash handling

as well as creditors invoice batches, as well as general administration as required.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Allocation and postings of all Debtors’ payments received;
  • Ensure that Aged Debtors Analysis Reports are produced accurately and up to date for each month end;
  • Month-end Workbooks (accounts and payroll);
  • Ensure that all payments received for advance deposits and guest payments are allocated and posted onto PMS accordingly;
  • Complete all Weekly banking;
  • Ensure that all department invoices are batched correctly and sent to the Support Office for payment;
  • Maintains and controls the Petty Cash float;
  • Ensure PMS monthly gratuities are correctly allocated, summarised and forwarded to the Payroll Office at month end;
  • Clean and ensure all Administration equipment as well as all work areas are in good order, to ensure compliance with OHSA regulations;
  • The company may require you to attend, from time to time, training courses or programmes to improve your skills and knowledge;
  • In consultation with the Lodge Management, treat staff equally, strictly adhering all  company procedures and disciplinary code.
  • Manage and control Stationary orders;
  • Filing and administration of Personnel Files, leave applications and staff rosters;
  • Ensure all Staff permits and access cards are valid and renewed when required.

Requirements – Qualifications and Skills:

  • Grade 12 (essential) & Degree or Diploma (advantageous);
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Exceptional hosting and guest interaction skills;
  • Ability to confidently manage independently;
  • Excellent team management skills;
  • Team player;
  • Creative problem solving skills;
  • Attention to detail.

Salary R 9 500 – R 11 000 including accommodation and company benefits.
